Phew, has anyone else’s week felt extremely long? Why do short weeks tend to feel like that? Other than feeling like the days were crawling by, this week has been a pretty good week. Work has been very busy, but #BabyD has been teething hardcore this week and has had his first real runny nose and congestion issues, so there’s only been one good night of sleep so far this week.

On a happier note, other than his refusal to nap during the day, #BabyD has adjusted well to daycare. He seems to enjoy his teachers, and there have been no reports of any problems between any of the little boys. What kinds of problems could there be, anyway? They are all 5-9 months old so they aren’t all even mobile yet, or old enough to bite each other – though I’m sure that will come before the end of the year. 🙂

I’ve made a couple of good decisions this week that I’m proud of. First, I deleted Candy Crush from my phone. I enjoy the game, but I’ve been stuck on one level for more than 6 weeks, so at this point the game is little more than a frustration and time waster. I also took some time to make sure all of our commitments were listed in my weekly planner and on my calendar at work, so I can see what we have upcoming (and boy it seems like a lot!). Taking little baby steps towards organization help me feel better about myself.
I didn’t make the time to get in as much exercise as I wanted to this week, but those poor nights of sleep really kicked my butt. I’ve also realized that when I don’t sleep well or get enough sleep, I’m much more susceptible to getting colds or having my allergies flare up, so right now I’m fighting some congestion myself.
Another good development – we finally got our new insurance policy straightened out and received our new ID cards. It’s pretty nerve wracking to have no proof of insurance for more than a month, especially with an eight month old, but we are past that now, and #BabyD has his next well-baby appointment this afternoon.
So, how was your week? Did you make any particular decisions that you are proud of? Did you get anything momentous accomplished? Do you have any fall weather yet?
